SUBSTITUTE Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of Reindahl Park, located at 1818 Portage Road.
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") has existing electric line facilities installed within part of Reindahl Park; and
 
WHEREAS, MG&E will be replacing the a portion of the existing overhead electric line facilities that are located in part of Reindahl Park; and
 
WHEREAS, MG&E has requested a new underground electric line easement across a portion of Reindahl Park for the purposes of replacing the existing overhead electric line facilities with underground electric line facilities; and
 
WHEREAS, the new MG&E underground electric line facilities will be installed by use of directional drilling and trenching, which would normally be a result of trenching through the underground electric line easement; and
 
WHEREAS, City of Madison Parks Division staff has reviewed and approved of the granting of such easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of Reindahl Park, legally described as follows:
 
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of the SWY4 of Section 28, T8N-RI0E, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:
 
The right-of-way shall be located 5 feet on the right side and 5 feet on the left side of the centerline of MG&E's facilities as constructed. The facilities will be located approximately as set forth in the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and dated May 4, 2012.
