Commending and expressing appreciation to Bill Knobeloch for his years of service with the City Transportation Department and Parking Utility.
Body
WHEREAS, Bill Knobeloch will retire June 1, 2012, after having been employed by the City since July 1, 1991, and
 
WHEREAS, as the City's Parking Operations Manager since April 24, 2005, he led the City Parking Utility and served the Transit and Parking Commission with seemingly boundless energy and a keen sense of service to the public and employees of the City; and
 
WHEREAS, Bill consistently and thoroughly researched issues and topics germane to his work, applied this knowledge, and communicated effectively with the public, city agencies, the Mayor, and the Common Council; and
 
WHEREAS, Bill is recognized in his field by his peers, sharing his knowledge and experience with presentations on the local and national level; and
 
WHEREAS, Bill has sought to provide a high level of service to the public at an affordable cost while maintaining the financial health of the Parking Utility; and
 
WHEREAS, his fellow employees recognize him as a dedicated, hard working public servant and wish him a long, healthy, and productive retirement;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council on their own behalf and that of the citizens of Madison hereby recognize and commend Bill Knobeloch for his loyal and dedicated service.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be suitably printed and forwarded to Bill Knobeloch as an expression of gratitude.
