Resolution Honoring John Jacoby
Body
WHEREAS, since the late 1990's, John Jacoby has served as a Board Member and President of the Madison-Freiburg Sister City Committee; and
WHEREAS, John has been an original member of the Sister City Collaboration Committee; and
WHEREAS, John has been instrumental in promoting understanding between Madison and our Sister City, Freiburg im Breisgau; and
WHEREAS, John has hosted guests from Freiburg, organized numerous activities between the two cities and has maintained a presence (a card table!) at the Farmers Market on Saturdays during the summer;
WHEREAS, John has arranged trips to Europe which have always included a visit to Frieburg;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council would like to thank John for demonstrating the very best that a representative of a Sister City organization embodies and wish to express profound appreciation to him for a job well done!
