Title
Adopting the 2013 - 2014 Program Area Goals & Objectives to be used by the Community Services Committee, Early Childhood Care and Education Committee, and Senior Services Advisory Committee in the Community Resources Program application review process.
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.185, Madison General Ordinances, the Community Services Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the Mayor and Common Council regarding the budget for human services to be purchased by the City from private, non-profit agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Community Services Committee, working in close coordination with the Early Childhood Care and Education Committee and the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, is responsible for preparing Program Area Goals and Priorities for review by the Mayor and Common Council; and
WHEREAS, the Community Services Committee, with the approval of the Mayor and Common Council, makes recommendations for a two-year purchase of service process; and
WHEREAS, the Community Services Committee, it's subcommittees and staff have completed a review of the 2011 - 2012 Program Area Goals and Priorities, invited input from the public, community agencies and other government and private bodies for 2013 - 2014;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council approves adoption of the attached statements of Program Area Goals and Objectives to be used by the Community Services Committee, the Early Childhood Care and Education Committee, and the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee in making purchase of service recommendations for the 2013 - 2014 Community Resource Program budget to be submitted to the Mayor.
