DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance requires that Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates of private fire hydrants be submitted to the Chief prior to final inspection.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. New Subdivision (c) of Subsection (1) entitled “Fire Protection Water Supply and Fire Hydrants” of Section 34.507 entitled “Fire Protection Water Supply” of the Madison General Ordinances is created to read as follows:
“(c) Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates of private fire hydrants shall be established and submitted to the Chief prior to final inspection.”
2. Current Subdivisions (c) through (k) of Subsection (1) entitled “Fire Protection Water Supply and Fire Hydrants” of Section 34.507 entitled “Fire Protection Water Supply” of the Madison General Ordinances are hereby renumbered to Subdivisions (...
