Title
Adopting updates to the City of Madison Personnel Rules.
 
Body
Whereas Section 3.53(4) of the MGO authorizes the Personnel Board to formulate rules and regulations for the administration of the City of Madison civil service system, subject to approval of the Common Council and
 
Whereas the State of Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill requires all Civil Service Systems to include an appeal process for workplace safety concerns, and
 
Whereas the City of Madison Personnel Rules, revised 2009, did not incorporate such a process, and
 
Whereas the Personnel Board has reviewed and recommended adoption of updated  City of Madison Personnel Rules, revised 2011, a copy of which is attached, which now includes an appeal process for workplace safety concerns,
 
Now therefore be it resolved that the Common Council approves and adopts the City of Madison Personnel Rules, revised 2011.
