There are two options to renew for one additional year each from 1/1/2014 - 12/31/2014 and 1/1/2015 - 12/31/2015 at a cost of $230,858 for 2014 and $242,469 for 2015.

An estimate of $116,000 was included in the 2011 Metro Transit Operating Budget for the first year of the contract; an estimate of $222,000 was included in the 2012 Metro Transit Operating Budget request. Continental Automotive Systems US, Inc., the previous owner of the TransitMaster software, was subsumed by Trapeze ITS U.S.A., LLC. Metro based its 2011 cost estimate on the previous contract with Continental. The Trapeze business model differs from the Continental model in that they offer no-cost software upgrades and no conference fees for user training. Metro incurred a cost of $50,000 for the last software upgrade under Continental. There will be no upgrade costs for future software upgrades with Trapeze.

Subsequent year costs will be included in future budgets.
