Funding for the salary and benefits for the Economic Development Division Director is included in the operating budget of the Economic Development Division.  No additional appropriation is required.

Submitting the appointment of Aaron D. Olver for confirmation of a five-year term as the Economic Development Division Director.
Body
WHEREAS, the City desires to hire the Director as an employee of the City of Madison to perform the services described herein on its sole behalf as the Economic Development Division Director, and
 
WHEREAS, the Director represents that he possesses the necessary knowledge, skill, and experience to perform such services and is willing to perform such services as the Economic Development Division Director, and
 
WHEREAS, the Director has been duly selected and has been confirmed for appointment to the position of Economic Development Division Director by the Common Council of the City of Madison on September 6, 2011, and
 
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City has authorized the execution of the Agreement by Resolution No
 
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, terms, and agreements contained in this document, the receipt and sufficiency of which is mutually acknowledged, the parties do agree as follows:
 
 
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Aaron D. Olver's appointment to the position of Economic Development Division Director is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerks office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Aaron D. Olver.
