Following the budget amendment, sufficient budget authority will be available in the accounts as necessary.
Title
Amending the 2011 Capital Budget of Engineering-Major Streets and Awarding Public Works Contract No. 6602, Bridge Maintenance and Repairs - 2011.
 
Body
WHEREAS the 2011 Bridge Maintenance and Repairs contract came in above the budget estimate; and
 
WHEREAS the Bridge Repair & Replacement capital project does not have enough budget authority to completely fund this contract; and
 
WHEREAS funds are available in the Pavement Management capital project due to good bids and a refined project list to cover the needed $106,300.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2011 Capital Budget of Engineering-Major Streets is hereby amended to transfer budget authority from Pavement Management (project 5) to Bridge Repair and Replacement (project 3) in the amount of $106,300; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
 
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
