PREAMBLE
The City is proposing to reconstruct East Johnson Street from North Butler Street to North Baldwin Street in 2014. The consultant's services will include studying the traffic implications of turning E. Johnson Street and E. Gorham Street into two-way streets in the study area. The consultant's services include modifying the regional model to identify alternate routes, and model specific intersections determine the affects of the traffic diversions.
Pursuant to City Ordinances and Policies, the City Engineer advertised for consultant proposals, reviewed the submitted proposals, and recommends the design engineering contract be awarded to Strand Associates.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Strand Associates for design engineering services for the Traffic Study - East Johnson Street - North Butler Street to North Baldwin Street.
