Fiscal Note

The 2011 Information Technology operating budget will be amended to authorize payment to WYOU in the amount of $9,802 (GN01-54267-344000) which is offset by the receipt of unbudgeted PEG fees.

Title

Amending the 2011 Information Technology operating budget to appropriate $9,802 to WYOU Community Access Television Station for the January 2011 Public, Educational and Government (PEG) fee distribution.

Body

WHEREAS, municipalities previously received funding through PEG fees paid by cable TV subscribers;

WHEREAS, the monthly payments to Madison were allocated between Madison City Channel and WYOU;

WHEREAS, Wisconsin Act 42 sunset the PEG fees in January of 2011;

WHEREAS, Madison has received the final payment for January, 2011 and needs to disburse WYOU's allocation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2011 Operating Budget is hereby amended to provide funding in the amount of $9,802 for the January 2011 payment to WYOU;
