Fiscal Note

Funding for the Director's salary and benefits is included in the 2011 adopted operating budget of the Economic Development Division.  No additional appropriation is required.

Approving an extension of the provisional appointment of Aaron Olver to the position of Economic Development Division Director until the position is filled on a permanent basis.

Body

WHEREAS, the City is in the process of screening candidates for the position of Economic Development Division Director; and

WHEREAS, Aaron Olver has been serving as Economic Development Division Director since February 7, 2011; and

WHEREAS, City Personnel Rules indicate that provisional appointments may only exceed six months with the approval of the Common Council;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the provisional appointment of Aaron Olver to the position of Economic Development Division Director shall be extended until such time as the position is filled on a permanent basis, not to exceed an additional six months without additional approval by the Common Council.
