Estimated revenue from this agreement for 2011 is $98,790 and is included in the 2011 Metro Transit adopted operating budget. Future revenues for each subsequent year of service will be included in future operating budgets.

Authorizing the Transit General Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Verona to continue to provide public transportation between Madison and Verona pursuant to the terms and conditions of the agreement executed between the Parties on August 31, 2005 and extended through December 31, 2007, except as modified by the Memorandum of Understanding and until a new agreement is executed.
Body
WHEREAS the City of Madison and the City of Verona have had a mutually beneficially partnership regarding transit service between the cities for many years and both Parties wish to continue this partnership; and
WHEREAS Metro Transit and the City of Verona wish to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding to codify their desire to continue the relationship while modifying Attachment A (the payment methodology) of the original agreement and continuing to work on an agreement formalizing this arrangement;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Transit General Manager is authorized to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Verona, in a form approved by the City Attorney and the Risk Manager, to continue transit service between the City of Madison and the City of Verona with the understanding that the MOU will remain in place unless terminated by a Party until an updated agreement has been approved and executed.
