Wisconsin Independent Network (WIN) will be extending its fiber optic network  (Pflaum Road - Helgesen Drive) within the City of Madison in the month of July and August. This work is being done in order to provide data delivery services in the Madison Area.

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Wisconsin Independent Network (WIN) will be extending its fiber optic network within the City of Madison in the month of July and August. This work is being done in order to provide data delivery services in the Madison Area.

 

There will be a public hearing, before the City of Madison Board of Public Works, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 5:30 p.m at the Madison Water Utility, 119 E. Olin Ave., Madison, WI.

 

Cable installation contractor hired by WIN will install buried fiber optic cable within the right-of-way limits, via directional boring at the following location:

 

1. Beginning on the north side Pflaum Road at Kvamme Rd, proceeding to the east side of S Stoughton Frontage Rd, north along the Frontage Rd approx. 1,605’, boring under S Stoughton Rd and proceeding along the south side of Helgesen Dr to 4417 Helgesen Dr.

 

Restoration within the limits of the road right-of-way will be completed in accordance with the City of Madison’s standard specifications.  All damaged sidewalk slabs will be replaced with 5” lift concrete.  All damage done to grass between sidewalk and curb will be restored with a four inch covering of black dirt and seed.  All restoration required within the traveled portion of the roadway will also be completed in accordance with the City of Madison’s standard specifications.
