Fiscal Note

This transfer would increase Room Tax funding available for the Sister Cities Program and decrease the budgeted Transfer to the General Fund by $5,095.

Title

Amending the 2011 Adopted Operating Budget Room Tax Fund to reauthorize $5,095 in lapsed Sister Cities funding.

Body

WHEREAS, the Room Tax Fund in the 2010 Adopted Budget included $9,100 for the Sister Cities Program:  $5,000 in new authorization and $4,100 carried forward from 2009 by a Common Council amendment adopted in November 2009.  A total of $4,005 was spent in 2010, and the remaining $5,095 of authorization lapsed; and

WHEREAS, the 2011 Adopted Budget includes $5,000 for the Sister Cities Program; and,

WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be beneficial to carry forward the $5,095 of lapsed authorization in 2010 to make it available for the Sister Cities Program in 2011,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Room Tax Fund in the 2011 Budget is amended to transfer $5,095 to the Sister Cities Program from the amount budgeted for Transfer to the General Fund for General Purposes.
