Amending Sections 9.13(4)(k) and (l) of the Madison General Ordinances to create a rule that allows vendors to leave the vending site and equipment unattended during lawful vending hours for up to 90 minutes.
Body
DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: Subsection 9.13(4) applies to city-wide street vending with a basic street vendor license and to Late Night vending and Southeast Campus Vending. Currently, this subsection requires a vendor to be present within the vending site at all times during which items are displayed or sold and that equipment cannot be stored on the street or sidewalk unattended. This amendment would allow a vendor to leave the vending site and equipment unattended for up to 90 minutes during lawful vending hours.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Subdivision (k) of Subsection (4) entitled “General Restrictions on Vending” of Section 9.13 entitled “License for Selling on Public Streets” of the Madison General Ordinances is amended to read as follows:
