Fiscal Note
There are no direct expenditures required under this agreement. This agreement will, however, require future expenditures to put in the turn lane improvements, under a separate public works contract. These expenditures, estimated at $200,000, will be included in a future capital budget.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute Memorandum of Agreement between the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the City of Madison Pertaining to Intersection of USH 51/Voges Road/Terminal Drive, required for the Genesis Plat. (16th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison has conditionally approved a final plat known as Genesis, located at 3604-3704 Agriculture Drive and 3750 Marsh Road, and,
WHEREAS, The a condition of the plat approval from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is that the City of Madison construct left turn improvements to USH 51 as required due to the predicted impacts to vehicular traffic at the intersection of USH 51/Voges Road/Terminal Drive as a result of the Genesis Plat development, and,
WHEREAS, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has directed that the improvements be installed no later than December 31, 2014, and,
WHEREAS, The City shall approve, by separate resolution, the Plans, Specifications and Schedule of Assessments for said USH 51 left turn lane improvements, which is anticipated in 2013, and,
WHEREAS, the City anticipates that a minimum of 50% of the required improvements shall be assessable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a Memorandum of Agreement with the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation Pertaining to Intersection of USH 51/Voges Road/Terminal Drive.
