Budget Authority Funds are available in the Acct. Nos. listed on the attached.  (Note that the proposal is for a three-years of pavement marking services.  The Traffic Engineering 2011 Adopted Operating Budget (GN01-54985-574000) provides $89,100 for funding in 2011. In addition, the 2011 Adopted Capital Budget provides $20,000 in funding for epoxy pavement marking in Capital Budget Project No. 9, Ped/Bike Infrastructure Enhancements (Acct. No. 810700) and $7,000 in funding from Capital Project 10, Safe Routes to Schools (Acct No. 810657).  Additional funding will be included in the 2012 and 2013 Traffic Engineering Operating and Capital budgets.)
 
This contract allows for 3 years of pavement marking.  The initial contract term is one year (2011) with two, one-year renewals subject to future budgets.    
 
Attached Change Order No. 1 to Contract No. 6649 to reduce the bid amount to $390,213.90.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
