Fiscal Note
The agreement provides for the reimbursement by Dane County for all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to Dane County employees during the contract term. Metro Transit shall be reimbursed $1.15 per fixed route trip based on actual ridership. Paratransit rides will be billed by actual ridership at the per ride rate in effect at the time the ride is taken. Estimated revenue will be included in Metro's operating budget for each year of the agreement. Estimated revenue for the first year is $36,000.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Dane County for provision of access by employees to Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement by Dane County to the transit utility for rides taken by Dane County employees for the term April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012 with one automatic renewal for an additional year (April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013).
Body
WHEREAS, Metro Transit has successful pass programs with other entities; and
WHEREAS, Dane County and Metro Transit believe this agreement will be beneficial to both parties; and
WHEREAS, the parties have negotiated a contract which meets all Transit and Parking Commission criteria set in advance for unlimited ride pass agreements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into a one year unlimited ride pass agreement with a one year automatic renewal with Dane County with reimbursement by Dane County for all trips taken by Dane County employees during the term of the agreement.
