Fiscal Note
This agreement will provide assistance to Metro Transit for providing transit information services, promotion efforts and operations in the amount of $19,300. It will also provide $12,900 $5,000 in assistance to the MPO for coordination of specialized transportation services. The funds are included in the respective 2011 Operating Budgets (Planning Division/MPO and Metro Transit).

SUBSTITUTE: Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Dane County to provide $19,300 in assistance to Metro Transit for transit information services, promotion efforts, and operations for calendar year 2011, and $12,900 $5,000 to the Madison Area Transportation Planning Board (a Metropolitan Planning Organization) to support the County Specialized Transportation coordination activities for the calendar year 2011.

WHEREAS, the 2011 Dane County budget includes various technical assistance and coordination efforts regarding the provision of specialized transportation services; and
WHEREAS, this budget includes funding support for Metro Transit in the amount of $19,300 for transit information services, promotion efforts and operations for the calendar year 2011, and $12,900 $5,000 to the Madison Area Transportation Planning Board to support the 2011 Dane County coordination activities; and
WHEREAS, Metro Transit and the Transportation Planning Board have included these amounts in their respective 2011 budgets;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Dane County for providing services to Metro Transit and the Madison Area Transportation Planning Board for the 2010 calendar year for a total of $32,200 $24,300.
