PREAMBLE
The City of Madison, Dane County, City of Middleton, and Village of Shorewood Hills have proposed a joint project to reconstruct University Avenue from Allen Boulevard to Segoe Road. The City of Madison is the lead agency for the project and has entered into a design engineering contract with KL Engineering, Inc.

The City Engineer recommends that additional design services be undertaken by KL Engineering, Inc. to address additional design issues that have been identified during the design process. The additional services include:

1. Additional administration, printing costs, and mailing costs for three Public Informational Meetings for the project.
2. Additional work to include a Transportation Project Plat with the project, including appraisal staking and monumentation. The Transportation Project Plat has been added to the project to accommodate required right-of-way and grading easement acquisitions for the project.
3. Additional title searches and title updates necessary for completion of the Transportation Project Plat.
4. Additional work to complete a structure survey report and design extensions to the Hickory Gulch box culvert.
5. Additional archaeological and historic investigation including survey and documentation of seven additional architectural/historic properties and four Determination of Eligibilities (DOE’s) and/or Determination of No Adverse Effects (FNAE’s).

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Amendment to the contract between the City of Madison...
