Fiscal Note
This is an agreement that provides for the reimbursement by St. Mary's Hospital to Metro Transit for all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to St. Mary's Hospital employees and volunteers during the contract term. Metro Transit shall be reimbursed at the rate of $1.15 per ride for fixed route trips and the per ride paratransit rate in effect at the time the ride is taken for paratransit trips. Metro has included estimated revenue of $45,000 in its 2011 operating budget for this agreement. (Metro included in its 2010 operating budget revenues of $52,800, based on projected increases in ridership. However, ridership in 2010 has been less than expected. Metro's 2011 revenue estimate is based on revised ridership projections.) Estimated revenue will be included in Metro's operating budget for each additional year of the agreement.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into an agreement with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, Inc., owning and operating St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center for the provision of unlimited ride passes to its employees and volunteers for Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility for trips taken for the period January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011 with an automatic renewal for one year from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012.

WHEREAS, SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, Inc., owning and operating St. Mary's Hospital and Metro Transit have had a successful and productive contracting arrangement for an unlimited ride pass for St. Mary's employees and volunteers for several years and both parties wish to continue the program; and
WHEREAS the parties have negotiated a contract which meets all Transit and Parking Commission criteria set in advance for unlimited ride pass agreements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into a one year unlimited ride pass agreement with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, owning and operating St. Mary's Hospital from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011 which will automatically be renewed for one additional year from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012, with reimbrusement to the transit utility at the rate of $1.15 per fixed route trip and the paratransit rate in effect at the time the ride is taken for paratransit trips during the term of the agreement.
