Body
Preamble
Metro Transit, a division of the City of Madison, developed a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking firms with an interest in providing a software solution that will be used to schedule and manage transit employees, according to the Transit Labor agreement with Teamsters Local 695 and other applicable City/Metro Transit rules and procedures, which must interface with the City of Madison ERP Software.  The RFP was advertised and four responsive and responsible proposals were received in response to the RFP.

WHEREAS, based on the review of the proposals received, Trapeze Software Group, Inc. was selected; and

WHEREAS, City Purchasing negotiated a reduced price and a proposed contract was prepared; and

WHEREAS, the new software system will provide better online tools and more user friendly functionality; and

WHEREAS, the new software system will enable easy access to timely information for improved decision making; and

WHEREAS, the new software system will make better use of staff time in completing forms, eliminating manual processing, creating more web-based self-service opportunities for employees and managers and making changes without routing paper,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a contract with Trapeze Software Group, Inc. for software, implementation, consulting services, licensure, configurations, installation, data conversion, system modifications, end-user training and procedural manuals, report writing at a cost not to exceed $550,000; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that change orders that do not exceed the City's approved budget or the scope of the project as authorized by the Common Council may be executed by the Transit General Manager, and counter-executed by Trapeze Software Group, Inc.
