Fiscal Note
This resolution transfers budgetary authority for borrowing from the General Building Improvements project to the New Fire Stations project. No additional General Obligation Debt is required.
Title
Amending the 2010 Fire Capital Budget to transfer $43,621 from General Building Improvements-810341 to New Fire Stations-810490.
Body
The Department has expenses for both Station 12 and the land acquisition for the Far East Station that exceed budget. The costs for Station 12 total $41,966. Some of these expenses normally have been covered by the contractor in past contracts. The Department hoped to cover these expenses with the project contingency. There are also additional inter-agency charges, modifications to Station 12 for HVAC, plumbing, air sealing, etc. The land acquisition for a future Far East Station exceeded budget by $1,655 for the land purchase and appraisal.
WHEREAS, the Fire Capital Budget General Building Improvements project has funding authority to cover this cost of $43,621.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2010 Fire Capital Budget be amended to increase budget authority for the New Fire Stations project (CB72-810490);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that $43,621 in budget authority be transferred from the 2010 Fire Capital Project- General Building Improvements (CB72-810341).
