This resolution transfers budgetary authority from PCED’s Project 16 “Villager Redevelopment” to Engineering-Major Streets Project 1 “Assessable Streets” to fund contract 6454.

The budget amendment needed is as follows:

CS53-79140-810354 ($108,940) GO Debt Proceeds (Assessable Streets)

CD21-79140-810578 $108,940 GO Debt Proceeds (Villager Redevelopment)
CD21-58401-810578 ($108,940) General Bldg Improvements (Villager Redevelopment)

Following the budget amendment, funds for Contract 6454 would be available in the account numbers listed above. No additional General Obligation Debt is required.

Amending the 2010 Capital Budget of Engineering-Major Streets and Awarding Public Works Contract No. 6454, Hughes Place - 2010.

Body
WHEREAS in order to improve access to the Villager Redevelopment site, in accord with the Master Plan for the site, some street work needs to be completed on Hughes Place; and

WHEREAS the improvements are solely due to the adjacent Villager Redevelopment and would not have been completed otherwise, and

WHEREAS the 2010 Capital Budget of Planning and Community and Economic Development includes a project for the redevelopment of the Villager (Project 16) which should fund these improvements; and

WHEREAS street work needs to be accounted for in the Engineering-Major Streets budget and therefore a budget amendment is necessary to transfer budget authority from the Villager Redevelopment project to the Assessable Streets project.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Capital Budget of Engineering-Major Streets is hereby amended to include $108,940 in increased budget authority, transferred from Planning and Community and Economic Development’s Villager Redevelopment capital project; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorize...
