No appropriation is required.  The position is fully budgeted in the 2010 adopted budget of the Office of the Director of Planning and Community and Economic Development.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison is in the process of screening and scheduling applicants for the position of Director of Planning and Community and Economic Development; and
 
WHEREAS, Mark Olinger has been filling the position on a provisional basis since January 2010; and
 
WHEREAS, City Personnel Rules allow for provisional appointments for six (6) months unless further approval is granted by the Madison Common Council;
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Mark Olinger be extended on a provisional basis with no change to his current provisional appointment until such time as the position can be filled, or for an additional six (6) months, whichever comes first.
