Fiscal Note
This resolution would create a new project known as the "Park Street Streetscape Improvement Project" in the 2010 Capital Budget of Engineering-Major Streets. The project would be funded by a transfer of $200,000 of existing General Obligation Debt budgetary authority from Project 41, "South Street".

Amending the 2010 Capital Budget for Engineering-Major Streets to fund a new Park Street Streetscape Improvement project.
Body
WHEREAS there is currently $320,000 of available budget authority in Capital Project account 810571 for Engineering-Major Streets, Project 41, South Street; and
WHEREAS the South Street project will not proceed in 2010; and
WHEREAS a new project for Park Street Streetscape Improvements requires the use of a portion of these funds in 2010.
WHEREAS, the Park Street Project will be a continuation of the recent public works projects in the area to improve safety which included a signal installation and pedestrian and bicycle enhancements near Villager Mall; and
WHEREAS, the Park Street Project will compliment the 2010 project underway at the Badger Road/Park Street intersection to improve the intersection safety which is funded with 90% federal safety enhancement funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2010 Capital Budget of Engineering-Major Streets is hereby amended to provide $200,000 in GO funding for a new Park Street Streetscape Improvement project in CS53/810571, through a transfer of budget authority from the South Street Project (Project 41).
