Commending and thanking Alderperson Mark Clear for his dedicated and conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Mark Clear was elected by his peers to the office of President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council on April 21, 2009 for the term of 2009-2010; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Clear met weekly with Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, his staff and Common Council President Tim Bruer to discuss city issues; and,
 
WHEREAS, during his term as Common Council President Pro Tem, Alderperson Clear served as vice-chair of the Common Council Organizational Committee and also served on the Board of Estimates, Commission on People with Disabilities, Economic Development Committee, Housing Diversity Planning Ad Hoc Committee, Madison Area Transportation Planning Board (MPO) and the Common Council Work Group to Review Snow Policies & Procedures; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Clear has met the demands of his additional duties with committed and dedicated service; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Clear, in addition to the above duties, continued to ably represent his 19th District constituents,
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Mark Clear for his dedicated and conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
