Authorizing a declaration of change in use from City park land to public street right-of-way as part of the Northport Drive Reconstruction. (12th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, the Northport Drive Reconstruction project is scheduled to commence in 2011/2012, from Knutson Drive to Packers Avenue as Engineering Project No. 53W1014.
WHEREAS, the proposed Reconstruction design includes approximately 0.09 acres along the northern edge of Warner Park at the entrance on Northport Drive and at Sherman Avenue Intersection.
WHEREAS, the above cited lands are a part of the City of Madison Warner Park.
WHEREAS, the City of Madison Engineering Division requests and recommends dedication of that portion of Warner Park necessary to complete the Northport Drive Reconstruction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council of the City of Madison hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Declaration of Change of Use from lands under Park Division control to lands under Engineering Division control that are needed for the reconstruction of the City of madison public sidewalk, Northport Drive. The size of the lands, in total, is not anticipated to exceed 0.09 acres.
