Body
The City of Madison Fire Department has received notification from the State of Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance as to the award of a grant for the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) in the amount of $311,584.  The grant covers the metropolitan area which includes Dane County.  The focus areas for this program are interoperable communications, medical supplies, training, exercises, mass care, resource data bases. pharmaceutical supplies, Mental Health Response Team, Medical Reserve Corp Program, planning and patient tracking.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council approve acceptance of this Homeland Security Program grant award from the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance for the MMRS Program.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council adopts the grant budget.
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Clerk and other designated City officials are authorized to execute the grant documents.
