Title
Authorizing the intra-city transfer of a parcel of land at the intersection of Lien Road and North Thompson Road from unused land area to public street right-of-way use, located at 4801 Lien Road.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison (the “City”) is reconstructing the intersection of Lien Road and Zeier Road, near the intersection of North Thompson Road, in conjunction with City Engineering Project No. 53B0790; and
WHEREAS, as part of said reconstruction, the City acquired a remnant parcel, owned by J&M Madison LLC, which is located at the intersection of Lien Road and North Thompson Road, at 4801 Lien Road; and
WHEREAS, the remnant parcel is encumbered with several existing public utility easements and will have additional public utility facilities installed as a result of the reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Division wishes to transfer the use of the parcel to lands designated for public street right-of-way use to alleviate the necessity of additional easement conveyances; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineering Division has also designated the parcel for future transportation uses, and has reviewed and approve of the intra-City transfer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Madison authorize the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute a Quit Claim Deed which will transfer the use of the below described parcel to land designated for public street right-of-way use.

A parcel of land located in the Northwest Quarter of Section 34, Town 8 North, Range 10 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin to-wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Section 34, thence North 88°36’12”East, 1081.28 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing North 88°36’12”East, 1045.03 feet; thence South 52°21’49”West, 1295.68 feet; thence North 01°23’48”West, 765.96 feet to the point of beginning.
