PREAMBLE

Chavez Elementary School is separated from Country Grove Park and approximately half of its attendance district by Upper Badger Mill Creek.  Currently, travel between the school and the park and residential neighborhood to the west requires considerable indirection and travel on relative busy streets.  The  proposed project will provide a safe and convenient bicycle route meeting  State and Federal path design standards as well as ADA standards.  The connection to Maple Grove  Drive will enhance overall bike and pedestrian mobility throughout  the neighborhood.

BE IT RESOLVED,

1)      That the plans and specifications for County Grove / Chavez Pedestrian Bridge and Path, be and are hereby approved.

2)      That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

3)      That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to accept dedication of lands and/or easements from the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
