Fiscal Note
This agreement would allow Dane County to take advantage of State 85.20 funding for a portion of the RSVP service cost borne by Dane County. Dane County's total anticipated cost of RSVP services within the Metro service area is $ 143,801 (net). Dane County will provide $ 77,556 (net) of County General Purpose Revenue and other funds while Metro will provide no more than $ 66,245 in State Operating Assistance. Funding is included in the Transit Utility's 2010 Operating budget. No impact on cost controls.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Dane County Human Services to provide Retired Senior Volunteer Driver Escort Services for the City of Madison for the calendar year 2010.
Body
WHEREAS, the city of Madison is eligible to receive Section 85.20 urban mass transit aids from the State of Wisconsin for eligible activities within the Metro Transit Service area; and,
WHEREAS, Dane County's total anticipated cost of RSVP Driver Escort Services for senior citizens (65+) and for individuals with disabilities is $ 143,801, from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 for service within the Metro service area; and,
WHEREAS, Metro Transit wishes to pass through to Dane county $66,245 of State 85.20 funds with the remaining amount, not to exceed $ 175,311, to be provided by Dane county from County General Purpose Revenue and other funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City and the County plan to maintain cooperative funding for this program;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and the County to take advantage of the Section 85.20 funds for the full programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Dane County to provide for the pass-through of no more than $66,245 in Section 85.20 funds for the purpose of providing RSVP Driver Escort services in calendar year 2010 with the remaining amount not less than $ 175,311 to be provided by Dane County from the County General Purpose Revenue and other funds.
