Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Urban Land Interests for payment of moving the South Pinckney Street Bus Shelter.

The City of Madison is planning to reconstruct sidewalks and benches on the South Pinckney Street block of the Capitol Square in 2010. The adjacent property owner, Urban Land Interests, has requested that the City move the bus shelter located on that block, approximately 150' north west along the block face, to accommodate their building entrance. The coordination of the sidewalk project and shelter project will result in lower costs for the shelter move.
The work for the move will be performed by the contractor who is awarded the Capitol Square Streetscapes 2010 project. The shelter move will be paid for entirely by Urban Land Interests. The cost estimate for the shelter move is $105,000.
Be it further resolved that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into an agreement with Urban Land Interests for payment of moving the South Pinckney Street Bus Shelter
