Fiscal Note
Adoption of the 2008-2009 contract will have minimal fiscal impact. Adoption of the 2010-2011 contract will increase annual compensation to stagehands employed by Monona Terrace and the Overture Center by roughly $168,000 per year. These additional costs will be offset by increased charges to individual performance and event sponsors or absorbed within currently budgeted resources.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance adopts and confirms the Labor Agreement between the City of Madison and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 251 for the period January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2009 and the Labor Agreement between the City of Madison and International Alliance of Theatrical State Employees (IATSE) Local 251 for the period January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
The Labor Agreements between the City of Madison and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local 251 from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2009 and January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011, are hereby adopted in their entirety and confirmed in all respects, and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to sign the agreements.
