Kentucky Data Link (KDL) will be extending its fiber optic network within the City of Madison within the next couple months. This work is being done in order to provide data delivery services in the Madison Area.

 

Body

There will be a public hearing, before the City of Madison Board of Public Works, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 108 of the City-County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Madison, WI.

 

Cable installation contractors hired by KDL will install buried fiber optic cable within the right-of-way limits, via directional boring at the following location:

 

1. Beginning at the SE corner of the intersection of Nelson Rd and High Crossing Blvd, going easterly along the south side of Nelson Rd for 1760’ to the intersection with Felland Rd.  

 

Restoration within the limits of the road right-of-way will be completed in accordance with the City of Madison’s standard specifications.  All damaged sidewalk slabs will be replaced with 5” lift concrete.  All damage done to grass between sidewalk and curb will be restored with a four inch covering of black dirt and seed.  All restoration required within the traveled portion of the roadway will also be completed in accordance with the City of Madison’s standard specifications.
