Body
The Fire Department has received $4,500 from the Madison Gas & Electric Foundation to purchase the Guardian Safety Seat for installation in an ambulance.  The Guardian Safety Seat can transport adults, children, toddlers and infants.  The design is state of the art and incorporates four seats in one.  Currently, there is no seat that safely transports infants and toddlers.

WHEREAS, the City wishes to safely transport children when needed in the ambulance.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council accept the donation of $4,500 from the Madison Gas & Electric Foundation for the purchase of a Guardian Safety Seat.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Fire Department Budget be amended to increase vehicle supplies expense by $4,500 (55220-722110) and offset by revenue of $4,500 (78520-722110).
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council and Mayor expresses its appreciation to the Madison Gas & Electric Foundation for its contribution and support to the safety of children.
