Title
Accepting ownership of the artwork "Four Lakes" by Myklebust, Sears, & Sons, a public art water feature located in Frances Plaza.
Body
WHEREAS the Madison Arts Commission's mission is to fund artistic activities and initiate cultural programs that integrate, support, and advance arts and culture as an essential part of life in Madison; and
WHEREAS the Common Council adopted Resolution number RES-08-00760, ID number 11488 on August 5, 2008 accepting the design, fabrication and installation of a public art water feature in Frances Plaza; and
WHEREAS one of the conditions of the contract requires that upon completion of the sculpture and other documentation being submitted by the artist, that the City of Madison will accept ownership of the sculpture; and
WHEREAS the sculpture has been completed and the required documentation has been filed with the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Madison hereby accepts ownership of "Four Lakes."
