Body

PREAMBLE

The development of the Eastlawn Plat includes a regional Pedestrian / Bike connection.  This connection is to cross an existing regional stormwater detention area owned by the City of Madison.  The City and the Developer of the Eastlawn Plat have agreed that the City and Developer shall equally share the cost for the design of the bridge and abutments, while the Developer shall pay for 100% of the cost to construct the abutments and path leading to the bridge.  The City shall pay 100% of the cost for the purchase and placement of the bridge, which will occur at a future date.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Pierce Engineers, Inc. for the design services for the Eastlawn Plat Bike / Pedestrian Bridge.
