DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance exempts encroaching architectural features on Madison Landmark buildings from an annual encroachment fee.

The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
Subdivision (g) of Subsection (3) entitled "Conditions of Approval" of Section 10.31 entitled "Privileges in Streets" of the Madison General Ordinances is created to read as follows:
"(g) Although subject to the provisions of this Section, there shall be no annual fee (if encroachment is approved) for existing architectural features that contribute to the historic character of buildings that have been designated a Madison Landmark."
