PREAMBLE:
The City is proposing to reconstruct the intersection of Mineral Point Road (CTH S) and Junction Road/CTH M in 2011/2012. The project concept includes a new grade separated intersection at Mineral Point Road (CTH S) and Junction Road/CTH M.
The project will modify access to the Middleton Cemetery as follows:
1. Access to the Middleton Cemetery will only be permitted from Isaac Dr. A new curb cut and apron will be installed by the Middleton Cemetery and paid for by the City of Madison.
2. The existing access to the Middleton Cemetery from Mineral Point Road will be cut off. The city will install a new shared use path for cemetery users, bicycles and pedestrians with the CTH M / CTH S project. The shared use path will allow for cemetery users to circulate through the site and return back to the Isaac Drive access point. Approaches to the shared use path will be built by the Middleton Cemetery and paid for by the City of Madison.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute execute an agreement between Madison and the Middleton Cemetery Association for modifying the access to the Middleton Cemetery due to CTH S and Junction Road/CTH M Construction.
