Commending the Madison-Dane County Public Health Department, City Information Technology Department and City Document Services staff on their outstanding work in providing up-to-date and pertinent information relative to the H1N1 (Swine) influenza outbreak.
Body
WHEREAS, across the United States information from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the Wisconsin Department of Human Services regarding the H1N1 (Swine) influenza outbreak was disseminated to public health departments; and,
 
WHEREAS, staff from the Madison-Dane County Public Health Department, City Information Technology Department and City Document Services staff worked collaboratively and effectively to provide that information to our citizens in an efficient and timely manner; and,
 
WHEREAS, information and resources were provided to individuals, schools and daycares, businesses, health care providers and travelers via the City's website and through email communications; and,
 
WHEREAS, the influenza information provided to our residents reflected the dedication and commitment to ensuring safe and healthy living and working environments by our staff,
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Madison Common Council recognizes and commends the outstanding work by the Madison-Dane County Public Health Department, City Information Technology Department and City Document Services staff in providing residents with valuable and timely information on the H1N1 (Swine) influenza outbreak.
