Authorizing and Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into a contract with Dane County for the sealcoating of unimproved streets. (Various ADs)
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison has unimproved streets that require layers of sealcoat material to be applied on a regular basis in order to preserve and streets, and
WHEREAS, the Streets Division is responsible for this regular maintenance using funds in the Operating Budget, and
WHEREAS, Dane County has provided this service under contract with the City of Madison and has provided high quality work at reasonable cost,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to contract with Dane County for the provision of sealcoating service for the 2009 season.
Fiscal Note
Funds for this program are contained in the Streets Division 2009 Operating Budget
(GN01-54317-634401). Funding for all sealcoating program activities totals $150,000. No appropriation is required.
