Repealing Secs. 12.57(1)(a)115., 124. and 132. of the Madison General Ordinances to reduce the speed limit on a portion of South Thompson Drive and to eliminate segments of McLean Drive and Cottontail Trail from this subsection.

DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: Per Wis. Stat. § 346.57(4)(e) the speed limit on all highways within a city is 25 mph unless a different limit is indicated. Therefore, it is unnecessary to include these portions of McLean Drive and Cottontail in this section. Currently this portion of South Thompson is posted at 30 mph and will be reduced to 25 mph. ***********************************************************************************
The Common Council of the City of Madison do hereby ordain as follows:
1. Paragraph 115. of Subdivision (a) of Subsection (1) of Section 12.57 entitled “Modifying State Speed Limit on Certain Streets” of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby repealed.
2. Paragraph 124. of Subdivision (a) of Subsection (1) of Section 12.57 entitled “Modifying State Speed Limit on Certain Streets” of the Madison General Ordinances is hereby repealed.
