Fiscal Note
Limited funding for the Public Works Team leader is contained in the Public Works and Transportation Agency Operating Budget (see 2009 Adopted Budget, page 89).  In the current year, $8,000 of salary and $3,064 of fringe benefits are provided, for total budgetary authority of $11,064.  The attached employment agreement would increase the salary to $15,000 and require approximately $2,710 of fringe benefits (related to FICA and WRF), for a new total of $17,710 on an annualized basis.  For the remainder of 2009, the pro rata share of this increase can be accommodated by the management of salary savings within the Public Works agencies (Engineering, Streets, Parks, Water Utility, Traffic Engineering, Parking Utility, Fleet Service, and the Transit Utility).  No additional appropriation is required.  Additional funding for future years will be requested in the 2010 and subsequent years Operating Budgets.
