Fiscal Note
This Agreement requires the Police Department to pay the costs associated with telephone and internet services only; no rent will be charged for the use of the space.  Funding is included in the Police Department's Operating Budget.

Authorizing the Chief of Police to sign a "Use Agreement"  with Future Madison Wexford, Inc. (managed by Meridian Group, Inc.), Dane County Joining Forces for Families and PHMDC for the shared use of office space for the West District Neighborhood Police Officer.  
Body
WHEREAS,  the West District of the Police Department would like to have office space in this location for the Wexford Ridge Neighborhood officer; and
WHEREAS, Future Madison Wexford, Inc. (managed by Meridian Group, Inc.) can provide space located at 7011 Flower Lane, Apartments A and C, in the City of Madison,  for use by the police department as a neighborhood office free of charge; and
WHEREAS, Dane County Joining Forces for Families and Public Health-Madison and Dane County will also share office space at this location and are signatories to the Agreement; and
WHEREAS,  Future Madison Wexford requires a written "Use Agreement" to establish the rights and responsibilities of all parties using this space; and
WHEREAS, APM 1-1 requires Common Council approval before any written contracts are signed on behalf of the City.
NOW,THEREFORE,  the Common Council authorizes a no-cost Use Agreement with Future Madison Wexford, Inc., Dane County Joining Forces for Families and the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, as described above, for not more than a period of one (1) year, and the Chief of Police is authorized to sign the Agreement on behalf of the City, provided that the form of the agreement is approved by the City Attorney and Risk Manager.
