Title
Approving Developers Agreement for public improvements necessary for the project known as Union South Redevelopment and authorizing construction to be undertaken by the Developer, Private Contract No. 2220.
Body
WHEREAS, the Developer, The Department of Administration (Division of State Facilities) and the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System on behalf of the State of Wisconsin has received the City of Madison's approval for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) to construct a new student union located oat 1308 W. Dayton Street, and,
 
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for Contract No. 2220 for the Union South Redevelopment have previously been approved by RES-09-00258, ID 13491, and
 
WHEREAS, the Developer has requested that the State of Wisconsin be added as an additional signature on the Development Agreement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
 
1.      That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a Contract For the Construction of Public Improvements that will be accepted by the City of Madison For Union South Redevelopment with The Department of Administration (Division of State Facilities) and the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System on behalf of the State of Wisconsin.
 
3.      That the Developer is authorized to construct the public improvements in accordance with the terms of the  Contract For the Construction of Public Improvements that will be accepted by the City of Madison at the sole cost of the Developer.
