Commending and thanking Alderperson Mark Clear for his conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Mark Clear was elected by his peers to the office of President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council on April 22, 2008 for the term of 2008-2009; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Clear met weekly with Mayor Dave Cieslewicz and Common Council President Tim Bruer to discuss city issues; and,
 
WHEREAS, during his term as Common Council President Pro Tem, Alderperson Clear served as vice-chair of the Common Council Organizational Committee and also served on the Board of Estimates, Board of Education-Common Council Liaison Committee, Economic Development Commission, Housing Diversity Planning Ad Hoc Committee, Committee to Guide Development & Implementation of Neighborhood Support Office, Platinum Biking City Planning Committee and the President's Work Group on Improvements to the Budget Process; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Clear has met the demands of his additional duties with committed and dedicated service; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson Clear, in addition to the above duties, represented the 19th District with great responsiveness to his constituents,
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Mark Clear for his conscientious service during his tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
