Fiscal Note
There is no ongoing change in compensation related to reclassifying these positions from Comp. Group 17 to Comp. Group 18.  The projected annualized cost associated with increasing the authorization for these positions from .80 to .85 FTE is $2,359 each (or $3,262 including benefits).  Because these employees have already been working at the .85 FTE level, there is no anticipated change in salary cost for 2009.  However, there will be a minimal increase in fringe benefit costs associated with this increased authorization in 2009.

Resolution that the positions of Crossing Guard Supervisor (#2659 occupied by P. Knoche and #2648 occupied by R. Olson) in Compensation Group 17 range 13 in the permanent salary detail of the Police budget, are repealed and recreated as Crossing Guard Supervisor in Compensation Group 18, Range 01, thereof.   Be it further resolved that the incumbents shall be reallocated to said positions.  Be it further resolved that each position of Crossing Guard Supervisor be increased from .8 FTE to .85 FTE, based on actual hours assigned to the position.
