Fiscal Note

This Employment Agreement establishes an annual initial year's salary of $139,391.72 beginning May 17, 2009.  The Attorney's Office 2009 Operating Budget includes $136,636 for this position.  The difference for the final 7 months of the year is about $1800 and will be absorbed by the Attorney's Office.

Body

Whereas, Mayor Cieslewicz has re-appointment Michael P. May to the position of City Attorney and has recommended to the Common Council that his re-appointment be confirmed; and

Whereas, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. May;

Now, therefore, be it resolved that Mr. May's re-appointment to the position of City Attorney is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. May.
